  5. Planning for Nursing Care and Final Expenses: The Retirement Classroom

    One of the greatest risks in our retirement will be the potential need of nursing care. The Baby Boomers are a populous, healthy generation that are likely to use Nursing Care at a higher rate than any previous generation as they predicted to live longer lives. How one funds nursing care may affect their funding for Final Expenses and estate. By attending this class you’ll learn: what are the probabilities costs of needing nursing care, how nursing care is paid for in the United States, an overview of the Estate Recovery Program for Medicaid recipients, and the Ways to fund Final Expenses and how the Estate Recovery Program may affect them.

    Navigating your way through Medicare’s rules, options, and insurance market can seem impossible. You can quickly get lost attempting to make sense of the A’s, B’s, C’s, and D’s of Medicare and the Open Enrollment Periods. Even more convoluting is the sales pitch that generally comes with any type of Medicare education! By attending this class you’ll learn: how the different parts of Medicare (A,B,C,D) work, what insurance options you have, tips on budgeting for Healthcare in retirement, and how Open Enrollment and Guaranteed Issue Periods work.
