Sunday Matinee Documentaries

Sunday, October 14, 2018

Science, history, sports, biography—documentaries are windows into a multitude of topics and subjects. What better place to see them than the library? Join us for a free documentary showing. Playing this week: Dinosaur 13

Dinosaur 13 depicts the event of 1990, when American paleontologist Sue Hendrickson, working with Pete Larson and his team, discovered the largest and most complete Tyrannosaurus rex ever found (nicknamed "Sue") while digging in the badlands of South Dakota.  Two years after the discovery of "Sue," government officials seize the remains and claim that "Sue" was stolen from federal land.
