Computers Made Easy: Overdrive Basics

The Weyenberg Library will host a free basic computer class that teaches basic computer concepts to people that are new or scared of computers in a classroom setting with overheads and visuals.

The Weyenberg Library will host a free computer class at 1:30pm. This class teaches basic concepts that will be explained in simple terms. This class is tailored to people that are new or scared of computers and is hosted classroom setting with overheads and visuals. 

The theme of this month's class is Overdrive.  Learn the basics of using Overdrive to download free ebooks and audiobooks. The class will cover how to log-in to the Wisconsin Public Library Consortium, how to search for, and check out, materials. For a lesson on how to use your particular device/tablet, please attend an ereader class held the 3rd Tuesday of the Month at 5pm.

The instructor, David Bartlett, is a retired Fire Captain from the City of Saint Francis where he worked for almost 31 years. He owns and operates a computer consulting business that works with residential and business customers, aimed to help with computer setup, instruction, troubleshooting and networking. Since retiring from the fire department in December 2009, Dave has made a commitment to continue to give back to the community by giving computer classes to interested public libraries and their patrons.

The class is free and open to the public. No advanced registration is required.
