    Are you participating in the 2018 Adult Reading Challenge? We want to hear about the books you are enjoying so far! Join us to share what you’ve been reading with fellow participants in the reading challenge this year. Even if you haven’t started the challenge, this is a great jumping off point to hear about books you might be interested putting on your to-be-read pile. Light refreshments will be provided and registration is not required.

    This 8-week program is designed for babies from 0-11 months and their caregivers. Simple stories, rhymes and songs are followed by a short playtime! Registration is required as space is limited. When you register, you are registering your child for the entire 8 weeks.

    The world of investments is an ever-changing world that often confuses and causes distrust amongst the consumer market. Tax reform and the Department of Labor’s recent regulations are creating a need for new and relevant information to help investors equip themselves to make sound decisions. By attending this class you’ll learn: different types of investments and how they work, how fees and commissions work, how to assess your risk tolerance and time horizon, and how investments are analyzed.

  8. Strategies for Social Security and Retirement Income: The Retirement Classroom

    The #1 stressor regarding Americans and their retirement is the fear of running out of money. With Pensions leaving the marketplace, Americans are entering retirement with their two largest buckets of money being their Social Security benefits and their pre-tax retirement savings (401(k), IRA, etc.). Sequencing your income from these buckets in the most beneficial way may allow your retirement savings to last longer. By attending this class you’ll learn: the ways to collect Social Security and how it is taxed, costs and benefits of delaying collection of Social Security and/or pre-tax retirement savings, and the different types of retirement income strategies.

  13. S.M.ART Kids Club

    Participate in a variety of activities that promote science, math, and art skills. This month we will practice counting by 10’s and skip counting by creating a rainbow abacus. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to participate! For grades K-2. Registration is limited and is available at the Reference desk or by calling 262-242-2593 ext. 320.
