  3. How do I reserve a park for a private function?

    Park reservations can be made by calling Sue Conway or Barb Sykora at Village Hall. The park reservations guidelines and fees can be accessed by clicking on the link below. There is a refundable deposit af a fee based on the number of attendees.

  4. Where do I vote?

    All residents of the Village of Thiensville vote at Village Hall, located at 250 Elm Street.


  5. How do I vote absentee?

    A printable absentee ballot and instructions can be accessed at:

    All absentee ballots must be turned in to Village Hall no later than 5:00 pm the day prior to the election.


  6. Where do I apply for a dog license?

    Dog license forms are available at Village Hall.


  7. When do you declare a snow emergency?

    A snow emergency is declared by the village immediatly following significant snowfall. Plowing starts on the snow emergency routes first and then goes to the side streets. There is no parking on Village streets during a snow emergency. The Police Department can have your vehicle towed if it is in the way.


  8. How do my garbage and recycled goods get picked up?

    Thiensville residents are required to contract privately with a licensed hauler recycle pickup, Veolia Waste Services: (800) 232-0860. Garbage pickup is done by the Department of Public Works. Garbage and recycling pick up for residential properties is weekly, either on a Monday or Tuesday. Please call Village Hall to determine the day for your property.


  9. Does the Village pick up brush and tree limbs from my home?

    No, the Village has a gated recycling area for dumping brush and tree limbs for residents of Thiensville. A gate card is required to dump at this facility and can be obtained at Village Hall for a fee of $10.


  10. What must I do with grass clippings, leaves and similar yard waste?
