James P. Sullivan: Mickey of Company K: A Civil War Museum Theatre Performance
Mickey.jpgJames P. Sullivan, aka Mickey, was a member of Company K of the 6th Wisconsin Infantry, one of the hard-fighting regiments in the famous Iron Brigade. His slight stature and Irish heritage made him a favorite among the soldiers of the regiment. Mickey reenlisted twice, was wounded three times, and served throughout the Civil War. The performance will be on Tuesday, June 30 at 6:00 PM and begins with Sullivan getting ready for a Soldiers Reunion. Join him as he prepares to see his old friends and remembers their sacrifices between 1861 and 1865. The Civil War Museum Theatre Program is recommended for adults and student audiences 4th grade and older. The program includes a 30 to 45 minute performance, a 10 to 15 minute question and answer session with the actor and a museum educator. This event is open to the public and no registration is required.
