Library Reading Challenge with the Milwaukee Bucks
From now through February 13, children can earn a free ticket to a Milwaukee Bucks game by becoming an All-Star Reader at the Frank L. Weyenberg Library. By reading 500 pages, All-Star Readers can earn a free ticket to a Bucks home game on either Sunday, March 14 versus the Indiana Pacers, or Friday, March 26 versus Dwayne Wade and the Miami Heat. In addition, All-Star Readers and their guests will have the chance to shoot a free throw on the Bucks court after both games! If the All-Star Reader reads 750 pages by February 13, they will have their name entered to win an official Milwaukee Bucks Autographed Basketball for each game. In addition, 20 randomly selected children will participate in the Milwaukee Bucks Halftime High Five Tunnel at each game, 20 randomly selected children will participate in the Bucks Kourtside Kids at each game, and 10 randomly selected children will be recognized on-court at halftime at each game! The Reading Challenge is open to all children from third to tenth grade. Records can be picked up at the Frank L. Weyenberg Library. Upon reading 500 pages, the participating child will receive a mail-in voucher for one free ticket. This voucher is only valid when the Reading All-Star is accompanied by an adult 18 years or older. The Library Reading Challenge with the Milwaukee Bucks runs until February 13, or while ticket vouchers are available. This program is a project of the Milwaukee Bucks, in cooperation with the Milwaukee Public Library, Milwaukee County Federated Library System and Northwestern Mutual Foundation. For more information, please call the Library at 262-242-2593, extension 15. The Library is located at 11345 N. Cedarburg Road in Mequon.
