The concept of the program is simple: read a book, any book, and have fun! The goal is to read 500 books before your child starts middle school (and yes, you can repeat books). If you read 2 books a week, you will have read 104 books in a year. That is 208 books in two years and 312 books in three years! You have more time than you think to complete the 500 Books Before Middle School challenge!
Enrollment can begin at any time and for any child not yet in middle school. Best of all, you can complete the program at your own pace! You can track your progress online with FLW’s Beanstack app or by printing out the log sheets from home. Log sheets are available at the library, as well. To register, stop at the Children's Desk, call us at 262-242-2593 ext. 330, or email us at ref@flwlib.org.
As always, is you have any questions, please stop at the Children's Desk or Reference Desk for help. The Frank L. Weyenberg Library staff are eager to help you find books to engage your child's mind and imagination!
Want to skip the paper forms? Sign up for 500 Books Before Middle School through the FLWLIB Beanstack site and track your reading digitally! You can record multiple readings of the same book and unlock badges for every 50 books read!
