Little Scientists

With their inquisitive natures and drive to explore the world around them, kids make natural scientists! At each session of Little Scientists, you and your child will get the materials you need to create simple – but fun and educational – effects. For ages 2-4 years old. Fox and Branch (A Children's Summer Reading Program)

For over two decades, Dave Fox and Will Branch have energized audiences in the U.S. Their dynamic mix of old-time music, original songs, and family folk music appeals to children and adults, giving everyone a chance to actively participate by clapping, dancing or singing along.

Saturday LEGO Club

Build up your creativity and LEGO skills at the library! Share ideas, work together, and make new friends. Children ages 5 and up are welcome to attend. Bring a friend, no registration required!

Parachute Play

Join us for an interactive and play-filled program featuring songs, rhymes and activities with the library's parachute! For ages 2-4 with a parent/caregiver. Registration is required as space is limited. To register, stop by the Children's or Adult Info Desk or call us at 262-242-2593 ext. 330.

History Book Club

The History Book Club meets on the Second Monday of each month at 1:00 PM. This month's selection is: "American Lion: Andrew Jackson in the White House" by Jon Meacham

Evening Readers Book Club

Join us for an evening book discussion group, the Evening Readers, on the second Mondays of the month at 6:00 PM at the library! This month, the group will be discussing "Heads You Win" by Jeffrey Archer.

Family Field Games

Join us on the grass outside the library for some classic outdoor games, fun for the whole family. Come prepared to move and play. Will be canceled in the event of inclement weather.

Dungeons & Dragons: Summer Campaign

Family BINGO Night

Ready for some friendly competition? This summer join us for Family BINGO night at the library! Every round wins a prize, and best of all, it’s FREE! No experience necessary. Register everyone in the family who needs a playing board, spots are limited!

Need a little extra assistance on a new device or app? Looking to start using eBooks and digital audiobooks with Libby or a new database? Drop-in on select days each month for one-on-one help with a librarian. We can troubleshoot issues, explain features, and more. Each session is first come, first served. Meets in the 2nd Floor Conference Room. If you aren’t sure if your problem is something we can help with, ask at the Adult Info Desk or email ref@flwlib.org. If we can’t help, we will try to direct you elsewhere!

'Find Your Voice' Summer Storytime (A Children's Summer Reading Program)

Find your voice! This year’s summer reading theme is all about expressing yourself. Join us for three summer story times about making your voice heard, plus a creative artistic or musical craft! Registration is required, so that we can be sure we’ve got enough supplies for everyone. For children ages 3-6.

Throwback Family Movie Matinee

The Frank L. Weyenberg Library introduces Throwback Family Movie Matinees! On select Saturdays each month, the Library will showcase family movies from previous decades to introduce new generations to some movie classics. All ages welcome. Children must be present with an adult (minimum 1 adult per 5 children). Feel free to bring snacks while you watch! Playing this Saturday: "Free Willy"

Shake & Shimmy Storytime

A music and movement centered storytime specifically intended for kids between the ages of 1-3 and a caregiver. The storytime would include 1-2 simple books as well as songs, dances and fingerplays that are easy for parents to take home with them.

Monarch Memory Cafe

A memory café is a social gathering for individuals living with memory loss, Alzheimer’s, or dementia and their family members, friends, and professional caregivers. To register, please call the Ozaukee County ADRC at 262-284-8120.

Unlock-the-Box (A Children's Summer Reading Program)

Do you love to follow clues and solve puzzles? Unlock-the-Box is an opportunity for children entering grades 2-5 (2022-2023 school year) to work as a team to beat the clock and open the box before it’s too late! This program uses BreakoutEDU to provide a fun, educational experience for all involved. Registration is required for this program as space is limited.

LARRS Live Animal Presentation (A Children's Summer Reading Program)

LARRS – Lakeshore Avian and Reptile Rescue and Sanctuary, Inc. was officially established in March of 2015. LARRS Founder and CEO, Heather, has years of experience rescuing and caring for birds and reptiles of all kinds. LARRS strives to improve the lives of birds and reptiles by providing rescue and adoption services, sanctuary for those that cannot be adopted, and education about these wonderful creatures. A City of Three Rivers: A Milwaukee County Historical Society Presentation

Milwaukee: City of Three Rivers is the Milwaukee County Historical Society’s newly reimagined presentation on the Milwaukee, Menomonee, and Kinnickinnic Rivers and their relationship with the city, both past and present. Prepared and presented by new Assistant Archivist & Digitization Specialist Michael Barera, this thematic approach to the rivers consists of five sections: “Hydrography,” “Transportation,” “Recreation,” “Industry and Commerce,” and “Decline and Restoration.”
